Review

The characters in this story travel around a small community known as Nueva Esperanza. In this beautiful setting, they reminisce about the past and sing. The people buried in the local cemetery join in this journey, which the director seems to present to the viewer as a kind of mute witness rather than telling the story directly. With beautiful cinematography that includes the use of long takes, the director creates a work of fiction mixed with documentary-like vividness. (Sung MOON)
