The Jeonju International Film Festival, to be held at the city of the traditional arts - Jeonju in Korea, will launch its 18th edition for 10days from April 27th to May 6th in 2017. Jeonju IFF has begun sailing again toward its 18th edition and now opens entries for International Film Competition.

Launched in 2000, Jeonju IFF is now recognized as Mecca of independent film festival of Asia and the widest window of avant-garde cinema around the world. While you can find latest waves of Korean independent scene in Korean Film Competition, International Competition introduces new talents across the world and showing the potential of new cinematic aesthetics. A number of new, rising filmmakers have been introduced to the world stage by Jeonju IFF and it resulted in that the awardees of Jeonju IFF have been critically acclaimed by international film festivals scene. The directors won Grand Prize include SUWA Nobuhiro, Apichatpong WEERASRTAKUL, LIU Jia-yin, Denis COTE, YING Liang, Matias PINEIRO and Sherad Anthony SANCHEZ.

We are accepting your submission only for feature films including fiction, documentaries, animations, experimental films over 60 minutes.

All submissions to the Jeonju IFF will be reviewed by our programmers and juries.

SUBMISSION REGULATIONS

- Please fill the 18th Jeonju IFF entry form completely and send it along with a preview DVD/online screening link to Jeonju IFF Seoul Office/the email addresses down below.

(All mailed application materials must be postmarked by the deadline).

Entry Start Date : 1st December, 2016.

Entry Deadline : 20th January, 2017. (Korea Time)
